The Peru Agribusiness Association Inc. (PAA) have announced that the Peru to the World Expo will return to New York City on Sunday, September 18 and take place at Metropolitan West. The guest of honor is Peru’s newly elected President, Pedro Pablo Kuczynski.
Programming for Peru To The World, created and co-sponsored by the Peru Agribusiness Association, includes a keynote address from Eduardo Ferreyros, Peru’s Minister of Commerce and a concert by Ambassador of Brand Peru, Jaime Cuadra. The Expo is organized with support from PromPeru, OCEX NY, the Peruvian General Consulate, sponsored by Avocados from Peru, Goya Foods, Pisco 100, Macchu Pisco, Cusqueña, Peru Magico, among others.
For the fifth consecutive year, Peru has been named South America’s Leading Culinary Destination by the World Travel Awards (WTA), heralded by many media as the ‘Oscars of the travel industry’. Peru to the World capitalizes on the excitement surrounding Peru’s gastronomy and edible exports and was developed by the Peru Agribusiness Association to introduce these superior exports to the global marketplace and highlight Peru’s diverse gastronomic and cultural tourism while fostering business relationships that drive social responsibility and economic growth.

3p-5p International Food & Beverage Seminar – The seminar features insights from food industry trendsetters who will discuss Peru’s role as a strategic food provider for the world. Concurrent to the seminar will be cooking demonstrations, each of which will highlight an ingredient being discussed in the seminar.

5p-7p Peru To The World Expo Culinary Tasting and Pisco Cocktail Celebration – After the seminar, guests will be treated to the Peru to the World Expo Culinary Tasting and Pisco Cocktail Celebration where 30 top Peruvian chefs will sample guests on their best dishes along with cocktails from premium pisco brands as live music plays. At 7 p.m. Peru’s newly elected President, Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, will make his remarks and open the fifth-annual Top Peruvian Chefs in the USA awards.
8p-10p Peru to the World Expo Culinary Tasting and Pisco Cocktail Celebration Performances headlined by folkloric dances and a concert by Dayana Aldana – Washington DC-based Dayana Aldana is one of the best-know interpreters of Peruvian folk music in the United States. Throughout her career in the US, she’s achieved tremendous success throughout the Peruvian cultural community and has performed in concert, in theatre and musical theatre in both English and Spanish. She was the first woman to sing the National Anthem of Peru at the White House.
