Firm draws on vast restaurant, hospitality industry experience to provide “fully staffed marketing department” for restaurants interested in lowering costs, generating brand awareness and increasing traffic and sales

Describing itself as “…the Uber of restaurant marketing,” an Indiana-based marketing group today announced the launch of a totally new concept in restaurant marketing.

Known as The Restaurant Marketing Department (TRMD), restaurant owners will now be able to have a professional marketing department for as long or as little as they need one, without the costs associated with hiring a full-time staff.

Boasting a staff consisting of restaurant marketing and operations professionals, “…there is nothing TRMD has not done in the restaurant business, including high level branding and marketing strategies, menu engineering and new product development, as well as sourcing to local store marketing.

“And, whether the size of the restaurant concept is one unit or 1,000, The Restaurant Marketing Department is focused on doing whatever it takes to help its clients grow their business,” according to Allan Zukerman, who will serve as Managing Director for TRMD.

“Hiring a fully staffed marketing department for your restaurant group is essential to growing your business, and can help enhance your visibility and gain new customers, but the costs can sometimes be too much to absorb and that’s where we can help.

He continued, “…even if you can’t afford your own marketing staff, we have the expertise and knowledge as restaurant owners, franchisees, operators and marketers to understand how to be successful at marketing and, at the same time, integrate strategies that work within the organization to drive traffic and develop a guest experience that brings them back time and time again.”

For an affordable monthly fee with no long term contracts, Zukerman said The Restaurant Marketing Department can help lower a restaurant’s marketing costs because the TRMD staff doesn’t require any benefits.

The broad range of services/capabilities offered by The Restaurant Marketing Department includes:

  • strategic planning and marketing (including research, design and management);
  • creative development and production of menus and point-of-sale materials – including the creative needed for traditional/digital advertising (in print, online and broadcast formats);
  • social media;
  • public relations (including news media relations/crisis communications);
  • film and video production;
  • branding/image consulting;
  • digital planning and execution;
  • restaurant operations consulting in all areas – including menu development;
  • the services of an experienced and talented chef.

Zukerman added that TRMD will also work as an added resource for the restaurant’s advertising agency (whether it’s in-house or an outside firm), or recommend someone to help them.

In creating The Restaurant Marketing Department, Zukerman said they are helping to “bridge the gap” and work as an extension of the restaurant itself. Collectively, the staff offers more than 150 years of combined experience in the restaurant and hospitality industries, and “…our comprehensive review of your organization can yield results that only the larger chains currently enjoy,” added Zukerman.

As a successful restaurant owner with more than three decades of experience as both a franchisor and franchisee, Zukerman said this type of service is ideal for emerging and mid-sized groups in casual dining, fast casual, quick service and hot new restaurant concepts. Zukerman said he understands well the challenges of managing the costs associated with operating a restaurant while investing in marketing.
