Technology is changing the food and beverage industry faster than ever before. To help food and beverage executives survive and thrive, Marcum LLP, one of the largest independent public accounting and advisory services firms in the nation, hosts a series of Food & Beverage Summits.
On June 5, the Marcum Food & Beverage Summit will be held at the New Haven Lawn Club in New Haven, CT. Over 150 executives are expected to attend the event, which will include various networking opportunities, keynote speakers, and the chance to win the $2,500 prize for the Most Innovative Emerging Company.
The June event, titled “When Innovation, Regulation, and Disruption Collide,” will be centered on ways to combat the disruption happening in the food and beverage industry. The event will begin with a networking session hosted by Marcum’s Food and Beverage Services Leader Louis Biscotti. “Our goals are for our guests to come away with both ideas they can put into immediate action and a new set of contacts to build their businesses,” noted Biscotti.
The session will then continue with insight from prominent industry executives including Sam Garwin, Market Innovation Strategist, GreenWave; Tom Kurz, Co-founder / Managing Member, Remedy Products LLC; and Chris Sferruzzo, executive vice president of finance, Buzzuto’s Inc.
Marcum will then host its New York Food & Beverage Summit at the Convene Conference Center in Manhattan on September 10. This event will be structured quite similarly to the New Haven event but will be titled “Food and Beverage Trends in 2019: Top Tips and Strategies.” Speakers to be announced in the coming weeks.
Biscotti, who organized the events, seeks to create an environment where executives can learn from each other. He noted, “I have always been intrigued by the stories that each of the CEOs would be able to tell me about how they developed their companies and their keys to their success. I thought it would be a great forum for CEOs to get together and talk about these strategies and all of the best practices that they had.”
Biscotti and Marcum want to prioritize innovation, so both events will include an Innovative Emerging Company Showcase. Startups and emerging companies will meet with conference attendees, who will sample their products and vote for their favorites. The winning company will receive a $2,500 award.
