Virtual Breakfast Session #60: Long COVID: The Foodservice World Since The Pandemic
47 Min, 19 Sec · By Total Food Service
Anyone alive is aware of what the pandemic did to the supply chain. Before COVID, everything was readily available, you had a choice of buying from competing producers, interest rates were low and prices were manageable. And then the pandemic not only cut into our population but is severed that flow of abundance we Americans had taken for granted for generations. Store shelves were empty. The labor supply dried up and prices skyrocketed. Now 4 years later things seem to have come back to what we recognize, but has it? The new reality is that no matter how much restaurants and supermarkets look pre-pandemic, there’s a seismographic change happening to the places we took for granted.
