In response to continued demand and an increasing customer base, RATIONAL has expanded its current distribution center. The additional 21,000 square foot distribution center space will increase capacity, improve efficiency and position the company for further growth. RATIONAL will now have more than 80,000 square feet in distribution center space at its primary warehouse facility in North America.
The North American Distribution Center is strategically located for optimized logistics and near the RATIONAL USA headquarters. The center maintains inventory to support the popular 24-hour guaranteed in stock item program. RATIONAL’s program enables standard configurations of combi ovens to ship within 24 hours of order confirmation.
The distribution center is the cornerstone of the North American supply chain: warehousing for distribution the entire line-up of RATIONAL combi ovens, service parts, accessories, cleaning supplies and consumable items.
“We’ve experienced a double-digit compounded annual growth rate for the past six years, which has greatly expanded our customer base as more restaurants, schools, hotels, retailers and multi-unit foodservice operators embrace combi technology and select RATIONAL,” states Markus Glueck, executive vice president, RATIONAL North America. “This investment in our infrastructure enables our company to maintain high levels of service and positions us for further growth.”
To mark the occasion, RATIONAL held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the North American Distribution Center to celebrate the completion of the large warehouse expansion project.
