Two Boots Pizza To Open First Staten Island Location At BFC Partners’ Empire Outlets

BFC Partners today announced that Two Boots Pizza, a New York City icon since 1987, is the latest restaurant to join the growing food and beverage hub at Empire OutletsNew York City’s first and only retail outlet center. The 2,865-square-foot restaurant will be Two Boots’ first location on Staten Island, placing it alongside new and established eateries that are making Empire Outlets the home of their borough debut.

Expected to open within Empire Outlets in late-2017, the new Two Boots will be more than a restaurant, featuring an 800-square-foot terrace to host live music, special events and other entertainment for Staten Island residents, visitors and tourists. It will join a diverse array of homegrown, artisanal brands including Mighty Quinn’s Barbeque, Nathan’s Famous and MRKTPL, Staten Island first-ever artisanal food hall.

Two Boots’ new restaurant at Empire Outlets will be its 14th in the metropolitan area. Along with its range of dining options, Empire Outlets will also feature high-profile coffee and specialty food shops including Starbucks, Ghirardelli Chocolate Company, Haagen-Dazs and Wetzel’s Pretzels.

Located adjacent to the St. George Ferry Terminal, Empire Outlets will include around 100 designer outlet retailers, a 190-room hotel with a rooftop venue and a 1,250-space parking garage. Eateries are flocking to Empire Outlets’ 40,000-square-foot food and beverage deck, which offers extraordinary views of the Manhattan skyline.

Empire Outlets is already 60 percent leased and BFC Partners is actively in discussions with several prominent tenants for the balance of the lifestyle center. The project will be situated next to the New York Wheel, which will be one of the tallest observation wheels in the Western hemisphere. 

BFC Partners’ Empire Outlets will be an approximately 340,000 square foot retail complex, comprised of 100 designer outlet retailers and a variety of restaurants and cafes. Plans also include a 190-room hotel that will provide extraordinary views of the Manhattan skyline. BFC Partners will also build a 1,250-space structured parking garage below the retail and hotel components to accommodate commuters and tourists alike. Designed by SHoP Architects, Empire Outlets will feature expansive open corridors to the water, contemporary materials reflective of the industrial waterfront, and a sweeping sustainable green roof visible from the harbor. Celebratory vertical circulation elements such as grand staircases, elevators, and streamlined escalators will guide shoppers as they move from the waterfront up to Richmond Terrace, creating a dynamic and easily navigated pedestrian experience.
