The bespoke New York based caterer Tastings has developed Tastings 2.0, a service to organize tailored, small or large virtual cocktails and meals, which could happen simultaneously in New York City, the Hamptons and Miami.
“We needed to imagine the way people and businesses could entertain now that they cannot gather anymore,” explains the founder and owner of Tastings Alexandra Morris. “If someone wants to invite to his or her virtual home colleagues, friends or family members for a special dinner or a birthday—and wants to delegate the care of every little detail—we can make it possible by delivering every invitee in the privacy of their homes the same food, already plated, as if they were attending a white-glove event or sitting at nice restaurant,”.
Tastings 2.0 Virtual Catering & Events offers an extensive menu of healthy, packaged meals tailored to each of our clients’ personalities and entertaining styles and prepared by our chefs with all necessary healthy safeties. Tastings’ experienced and safe waiting staff delivers to each guest’s residence the same experience, food and beverage with an eclectic plate-ware for their home to create a collection with each dinner party they participate in. These are protectively packaged and accompanied by a signature note of gratitude.
“To complement the savory and sweet dishes, we have decided to partner with Vranken Pommery America to offer a large selection of French wines, American sparkling, and champagne, including Pommery Apanage, Diamant, and the high end Cuvée Louise,” Morris adds.

The owner of two restaurants in Manhattan and the organizer of some of the largest cocktails and dinner parties in Miami, the Hamptons and New York City, Tastings had to reinvent itself. “There is no secret that the impact of the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted the hospitality and the restaurant industries, and we have no visibility on when this sector will be able to resume its activities,” Morris says. “By proposing a service adapted to our new—and hopefully temporary—way of life we can accomplish two things: we can make it easier and more fun for our loyal clients to entertain while creating new work opportunities for chefs, cooks, and waiters whose professional future remains otherwise uncertain.”
Tastings 2.0 Virtual Catering & Events can expand to: Virtual Corporate Conferences, Public speaking opportunities, Wine + Champagne conversation dinners gatherings, Weddings and Social gathering.

#StrongerTogether Tastings 2.0 will donate 20% of its virtual dinners to City Harvest SKIP LUNCH FIGHT HUNGER. Tastings partnership with City Harvest ‘Skip Lunch Fight Hunger’ initiative provides meals for kids on school breaks that would not have school provided meals. It has been expanded during the Coronavirus Pandemic to provide daily nourishing and balanced meals to children around NYC.
