The New York State Restaurant Association (“The Association”) today announced the launch of the Minimum Wage Resource Center, a one-stop-online-shop for all matters concerning the new minimum wage law in New York State. The new law goes into effect on December 31, 2016.
“With significant penalties for non-compliance and very complex nuances to implementation, we at the New York State Restaurant Association have created an easy to access resource for staying on top of New York State’s new minimum wage law,” said Melissa Fleischut, President and CEO of the Association. “This new website was specifically designed to provide hospitality professionals with the critical information they need to stay in compliance with this complex new regulation.”
The dedicated website has a tool for calculating your new minimum wage, depending on what type of restaurant you operate and where you are located, easy access to specifics and sanctions, frequently asked questions and more. For restaurateurs who are unable to find what they need from the site or have additional questions, the Association provides a toll-free help line, where even non-members can enjoy a free consultation with Association experts.
