Premier provider of high-end commercial cooking equipment, The Montague Company announced it has acquired Baldwin Park, California-based Turbo Coil Refrigeration Systems, Inc., an award-winning manufacturer of advanced evaporator coils, prep tables, chef bases and more.
The Turbo Coil acquisition has united two companies well known throughout the foodservice community for their quality, craftsmanship and willingness to push boundaries: Montague with its lineage of over 160 years designing, manufacturing, marketing and selling professional equipment such as Excalibur Cooking Suites, Legend, Vectaire and Technostar brands; and Turbo Coil with innovations that lead the industry in meeting future environmental regulations concerning refrigerants and energy consumption with a unique platform of patented technology centered around the Turbo Coil evaporator coil. These include glycol chef bases, glycol cold rails and glycol prep tables that can function with R290 refrigerant and latest approved refrigerant blends.
Having a strategic alliance for the past 3-1/2 years, Montague has already incorporated Turbo Coil patent-protected technology into key equipment custom suites and products —and with impressive results, as evidenced by the Glycol Ice and Heat Sauté Station, winner of the National Restaurant Association’s (NRA) Kitchen Innovations® 2015 Award. Formal announcement at the NRA Show
