New York City businesses throw away more than 650,000 tons of food waste annually-yet, as you know well, food scraps aren’t garbage. Instead, that food could be used to feed people and animals, nourish soil, grow healthy food, and create energy.

On July 25^th at the Brooklyn Expo Center, the NYC Department of Sanitation’s Foundation for New York’s Strongest will host the largest exhibition of food waste solutions. Offering a “soup to nuts” approach to preventing, recovering, and recycling food waste, the NYC Food Waste Fair will equip New York City business owners and managers with the knowledge, tools and connections they need to build a food waste prevention plan from scratch, or take existing programs to the next level.

Nationwide, businesses, investors and policymakers are eager to reduce the food waste footprint, and crave information about practical, tangible, shelf-ready solutions.
