This 5,500-square-foot, 182-seat venue with billboard signage and ample parking has historically been very popular and profitable. Originally known as Mulligan’s, the restaurant has been under new management for the past two years, when it was rebranded as Pub 1850. The restaurant’s lease, furniture, fixtures, and liquor license are now being offered for sale. Â
Restaurants in Toms River benefit from the nearly 100,000 residents in its township, ranking it as one of the most populous municipalities in the state. Two of the busiest roads are Hooper Avenue and Route 37, and both see extra traffic from travelers to the Jersey Shore during the summertime.
National restaurant chains on Hooper Avenue include T.G.I. Friday’s, Olive Garden, and Red Lobster. Regional chains and comparable local dining establishments include Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse, Tuscan Bistro, Artisan Restaurant & Brewery and McIntyre’s Pub.
